Deliver newsletters:
Three times a year the Forum produce a newsletter for
the local community detailing events and activities
taking place and generally updating people on any
relevant local issues. We are always looking for people
who are willing to volunteer to deliver the newsletters
to the people that live in their street. If you are
willing, please contact the Forum by calling 01789
415551 and leaving your details.
Come to a Forum meeting:
Currently, the Forum meets on the first Tuesday or
Wednesday of each month to discuss all sorts of things
that are relevant to the local community such as: local
open spaces, litter, activities for young and old
people, community training, traffic issues. Anyone from
the Clopton area is welcome to come to any of the
meetings and raise an issue for discussion.
Join the committee:
Could you join the friendly team and offer your
talents either as Treasurer or as a committee member? We
are always looking out for local people who want to help
make a difference in the community. The role is not too
onerous - the main requirement is that you can attend
most of the monthly meetings that usually last up to 1.5
hours, and offer your views and thoughts on things
concerning the local neighbourhood. You may volunteer to
help with a specific task, such as writing a letter, or
be part of a group organising a particular event, but
our aim is to share the responsibility so that each will
do as much or as little as they are able.
Volunteer:
Come and work with us - we are always looking for
volunteers to help with our various clubs and
activities. If you would like to give some time each
month serving tea to the older residents, for instance,
then please call the office on 01789 415551.
